Like juniors at Deutsche Bank, juniors at RBC say there’s no real system for monitoring working hours in place at the bank. The claims came after a junior analyst on RBC’s New York industrials team was taken to hospital in an ambulance in late April. When junior bankers suffer health emergencies, it’s become standard practice to seek out managing directors (MDs) to blame. Previously, he worked at UBS Investment Bank and the International Finance Corporation, the direct investment division of the World Bank. These advancements have also improved bankers’ work/life balance, as well as the effectiveness of remote working, which is obviously highly relevant for WFH.

Q: Why is investment banking so difficult to teach?
